Coating fabrics of all kinds with different rubber types and other polymers is one of the core competences of comp! Elastomere GmbH. Here we have the special opportunity to be able to perform ultra-thin, absolutely non-porous and gas-resistant rubber coatings.
The heart of each diaphragm gas meter is a pair of fabric reinforced rubber diaphragms. Theses diaphragms have a lifetime of at least 20 years. They must accurately measure at a variety of temperatures (-35 to +60 degrees). The material should not tire and the geometry should not change.
For diaphragms used in measuring and control devices, 10 million cycles in life are a matter of course and an absolute must. Not a single membrane should change in geometry or vary in its other properties. The running behavior in the device must remain constant at any time.
